Corporate Golf Days
A Corporate Golf day should be fantastic fun, both in the forward planning & the running of the day itself. It’s a great chance to invite valued clients or say a real ‘thankyou’ to loyal staff outside the office environment. Let Peter at IGC London arrange & oversee your day from start to finish. As with all IGC London events, Peter’s style is based on the personal touch & attention to detail. So why choose Peter? Let us start with some (far too often seen) scenarios.
A company boss delegates organising the company golf day to maybe their secretary who knows nothing about golf. They duly Google to find a host of companies who run golf days offering a plethora of information on access to fantastic courses, electronic scoring systems, goody bags etc etc. All that can wait - there is nothing that can’t be done at a later stage. You have to get the basics right first.
The Director tells the Secretary “get me Sunningdale”. On the day, they suddenly realise many of the invited guests are occasional players, even hackers. The course is much too tough. They stand on the first tee knowing this is the moment they’ve been dreading - a 150 yard carry over gorse. The inevitable happens, & off they go knowing there is five hours of purgatory/embarrassment ahead, not just for them, but frustrated playing partners too.
It’s a boiling hot summer. The boss demands ‘ring the club & reserve half a dozen buggies.’ But they’ve chosen Sunningdale or the Berkshire or New Zealand. And the problem? They don’t allow them or indeed have any - maybe one or two for medical exemptions. If you’d definitely wanted buggies in the first place, then Peter might well have steered you towards maybe choosing Woburn. They have a fleet of them. And so it goes on - attention to detail from start to finish is vital.
Golf days should be something to be really looked forward to. Pairings are vital so golfers of similar standard play together. The format could be a team format of fourballs with the best 2 scores counting on each hole. The higher handicapper at once feels more relaxed, & if only contributing to the team score on a handful of holes, can walk off the 18th green having had a great time.
As for the day itself, Peter will bring his team depending on the size of your event. Peter’s assistants are perfect for the day. All have a welcoming personality & a knowledge of golf to handle all queries. They are the first to arrive & the last to leave. All they genuinely want is for you & your guests to have a fantastic day out.
Contact Peter via email or you can call him anytime - a face to face meeting can be quickly arranged, maybe at your office. Standard of golf course, ideal time of year, ideal day of the week, expected numbers, budget etc can then be discussed. Much, much better than endless emails going to & fro. Peter can then give you various tailor-made packages - the rest is up to you.
So let’s get started. Peter is only an email/phone call away to hopefully arrange an unforgettable golf day for everyone.
P.S. if you are possibly thinking of just inviting a small group of prestige clients (maybe just a fourball or 2) don’t forget you can book them on to any IGC London event & Peter will ensure you are all given a special welcome on the day. Plus they have the added fun of being part of the individual competition. They could walk off with the bottle of Moët or bask in the acclaim for winning Nearest the Pin! Book onto any event & simply let Peter know.
